    Hello Sir/Madam,

I gave my bike (FZ) for service SERVICE CENTER THIRUNEERMALAI ROAD, CHROMPET, Chenai-600044. While taking delivery I found that there is a scratch in the tank. The person who takes my bike for service he accepted that was their fault and it can be serviced. Once he consulted with manager he asked me to come next week. I went next week they said painter not there come next week. I again went next week they told paint is not available. The again I came back and went on 22-07-2015. I asked them to service the bike and give me when its ready. They called me several times in the evening on the same day and asked me bike is ready. When I went to pickup my bike the scratch remain same. The manager shouted at me its not their fault. He spoken very badly and told me it cannot be done. Why such response from YAMAHA service centers.
Please take some decision to overcome this issue. It will be great full to YAMAHA.

We booked a scooter in Aditya Yamaha autos at Trichy road, Coimbatore. This place have the worst customer hospitality. The representative treated us as beggars and didn’t have a courtesy to let us know the reason for waiting. Getting irritated we asked her to cancel the order and we had booked it in another showroom at Sungam, trichy road. Now, she is not ready to return the advance amount that we had paid. She in fact says that it is not possible to return in any near future and talks in threatening voice. Can you please help us to get the refund so that we can go ahead with the purchase with a dealer we are comfortable with.

  6. Brij bhushan

    Respected Sir/Madam,

    Myself Brij Bhushan R/o # B-17 C.S.I.O CAMPUS SECTOR 30 C CHANDIGARH.
I want to say that I had purchased Yamaha Bike FZ-16 Mid night edition on Oct 2011.
I have trust on Yamaha brand that’s why I spend Rs. 86000/- to buy. I am a student . I need to travel daily 26 km per side or 52 to 54 both sides. I serviced my bike on regular intervals. But due to some circumstances, the service was skipped for 2 months and I am facing problem in my bike. I went to agency to check up they said the engine was seized due to delay in service. They said there is a expenditure of Rs. 10,000 to Rs.12,000 . The outsider asked for Rs.4000 to Rs.6000 . I still trusted on Yamaha agency and spend Rs. 12000 . I gave importance to trust not to money.
After ten days, I got my bike it was ok, but after a month, my bike was making some little noise and next day it was increased . so, I went to agency to check up they said that noise was normal but I said it’s not . They replied ok, you will give us for service we checked and solved the problem.
After two days, I got my bike but still it has little noise they told me it will be ok after two or three days. But still there is problem. I again when to them, they again repaired it fourth time .
After a month, the problem of noise still persists, so I again visited and they told me that they will solve the problem and this was promised by the Manager.
After two days, they told me that the problem could not be solved this problem remains there. But I told them that I spent Rs. 12,000/- on it and still I didn’t satisfied with the service provided to me. Manager told me that this noise will remains due to seizing of engine and may increase . But I spent Rs. 12,000/- for this. The first time I got it, it was ok. But after a month its giving me the problem it means that there is some manufacturing defect in the bike.
Sir, therefore, I request you to please sort out my bike problem or replace it with new one. I already had occurred a too much harassment, mental agony, and money problem due to lot of expenses on the bike and money spent travel to my college without bike. I have to pay lot of money in auto-rickshaw to reach the college.
Once again, It is requested to sort out my problem. I trusted the brand but if now anybody asked me about Yamaha I will not give the positive response due to the inconvenience caused to me.

    Brij Bhushan

    Dear Sir /Madam,

I am the owner or Yamaha R15… Reg no. GJ5- 9797 from Surat , Gujarat.
I am having problems with the battery rectifier which is not working and as a result the battery gets discharged within 2 hours and the engine stops working.
The Yamaha Service Centre guys at Rustompura Surat ,say that they do not have spares to solve the problem. The parts are not available , it will take 10 days for the parts to arrive.
Is this the service you provide to your customers ? I have to keep my bike parked in a corner for 10 days just because the spare part is not available ?
Very poor service from Yamaha India . I am really sorry to say that I made a big mistake by opting for Yamaha over other manufacturers.
The Toll Free no. also doesnot work..is this the way you treat customers? this is totally annoying.
Moreover the service centre people told me take your Bike from here and bring it back after 10 days. So if the bike doesnot start and I can not ride it how can I drag it 10Kms back to my home. this is rude…too rude.
I would like an urgent solution to this matter.

I have purchased new yamaha SZ X model in NOV2011, which was committed 60 kmpl, but even it not reaches 35-40 kmpl.its very uncomfortable to ride and not smooth in its operation some time when I doing self its not started so many time . has starting problem and engine swith off in running condition in 1st gear and emitts most black smoke..
1)they committed 60 kmpl but where are there commitment
    2)its knocks when started
3)some time when I doing self its not started
4)when I go to service center im sying its not giving proper avg they simple change oil filter, air filter ,oil then saying now when u ride ur bik eit give good avg..but realy the bike on same track same avg 35-40 some bdy I thougt their Mach nice who r working in GREEN AUTOMOBILES THEY ARE NOT PROPERLY EDUCATED IN THEIR WORK…

Pathetic service from yamaha and dealer

I owe a yamaha bike fzs and I feel sorry for myself for choosing yamaha.I have never ever came across such worse service both from the side of yamaha customer care and dealer.

My bike (KL 60F 7204) met with an accident almost 2 months back and have given my bike for service on February 3rd,2013 to PIONEER MOTORS, KANHANGAD, KERALA.Insurance personal audited, made an estimate and was ready with their papers by 15nth of February.Today it is 25th March and still now the dealer has not looked into the bike reasoning out that they dont have a part available for repair.I tried to complain about this to yamaha customer service when I came across a worser response.
I feel sorry for yahama-a well established motor firm ,for having such a worse customer service with a toll free number that is never available.
I have not purchased bike to showcase it but to use it.

    Dear Team,

I have provided very pathetic services, I bought fzs on 10th oct 2013, bike number MH 03 BP 2890.since its next day i experienced some oil leakage in engine shaft, I have notified this thing to the service centre, but they have told me to change the petrol at first servicing, at second services they told me to put synthetic oil. still problem is not resolved and after observing bike they came to know that shaft should get changed, and for that they have arranged new shaft. On 30th january 2014 i kept my bike in service centre and laurence from service centre told me to wait till monday ( 03rd feb 2014) but when i called at service centre i came to know that he did not even touched the bike, bike is kept as it is. and people from service centre keep on increasing days for the servicing. Job Card number 21320. Staff at ganesh enterprises are keep on passing bucket to each other.

Kindly look into the matter or else i would prefer to escale this matter to the highest.

    Customer Care Unit
    Yamaha Motors Ltd.

I am owner of Yamaha R15 bearing registration number-HR-51 AD –2129.
Since its purchase in Oct 2008, I am always getting its service/repair from authorized Yamaha
Dealer and always used YGP purchased from them.
On 18/06/13 I have sent the bike to the ADARSH YAMAHA dealer with the complaint of engine no
After examining the vehicle we were told that the coolant pump seal damaged due to this coolant
mix in engine oil and engine smoke problem is already there,
Dealer supervisor suggests me it may need to change followings’ Parts….. Cylinder Kit, Valves Set,
pump oil seal, Clutch plate & friction plate with boss clutch, head repair and crank repair from
    outside market
After engine overhauling they have charged bill amount (Rs) 16089.00 on bill and crank & head
Repair charge (Rs) 3500 this amount given to Mechanic Name NARENDER Without any Bill.
I am very happy to receive my bike after 15 day’s evening 5.30pm on 03/07/13. when I was
Received and start my bike same day some absurd sound being heard from the engine of the bike.
the sound is coming from Camm Shaft or Crank shaft i,am not clear when I was told this sound to
verify supervisor he told me this is tappet noise sir ride 500 km when came after 500 I will set
    Tappet noise.
After 500 km 2nd time he set tappet gap but sound is still continue, After 950 km 3rd time he
changed mechanic but sound is still continue
After 1160 km 4th time he replace rocker arm and rocker pin also changed friction plate again charge
Bill (Rs) 3248 but sound still continue and strong.
I am very fad up to this bike after engine repair. Within one month bike running with high vibration
And heavy smoke. At dealer end nobody to resolve this problem.
someone suggest me to visit service camp at ADARESH YAMAHA , to verify engine problem to
company service engineer .Company engineer verify and suggest dealer supervisor to check
    Crank and camm again.
After 1473 km 5th time other supervisor at same agency supervisor verifies and told this is crank noise.
When I was told I have all ready repaired crank shafts in your agency.
he said it may be not repair properly due to this crank shaft moving disallinment and rubbing &
Damaged your cylinder kit. Head leak also. It may need engine overhauling again.
I, am shocked, But supervisor told me Sir came again we will repair your bike free of cost, only we
    will charged labor charged,
As on date 9/12/13 dealer repair my engine again. They have changed my crank & cylinder kit,
    valves set
After 2nd time engine overhauling charged bill amount (Rs) 23,000.
At bike receiving time supervisor says sir pay bill one of the smallest amount crank or cylinder kit
, he refused that he did not says all engine is free of cost.
We are shocked by the divergent opinion given by them and we are in a stage of dilemma what to do.

It appears that your above mentioned dealer wants to get rid of us by repairing the vehicle by
substandard means and to hide the mistake which was committed at the time of
    Replacement /fitment of crank shaft.
I, am not sour that mechanic really repairs or fit same as.
Why should I pay 2nd time for mechanic mistake or fraud
    Is this Business Ethics?
    Is this Yamaha Culture?
Is this Yamaha Customer Care Technique?
You are kindly requested to look into the matter and direct your dealer to solve our problem at
His/your end or in alternative suggest us what to do.
We are not in a position to spend such a huge amount of money for no mistake on our part but
Because of gross negligence on the part of your dealer.

Currently it seems like Movable Type is the preferred blogging platform out there right now.
(from what I’ve read) Is that what you are using on your blog?

  13. Omer Afser

I would like to lodge a complaint with regards to my FZ – KL 46 H 2080 which had been purchased on 28/02/2013 as per records but delivered on 04/03/13 done 12000 kms and still under the extended warranty service.
On Tuesday 03/12/2013, my bike was given to the Yamaha showroom in chavakkad as there was a problem in the wiring kit. The bike showed no ignition power and would not start even if I tried jump starting it. Please note the bike was given on 03/12/13.
On Thursday 05/12/13, on visiting the showroom, the mechanic showed me the bike and said that he is still unable to detect the fault in the bike, on speaking with the showroom Manager Mr. Rakesh, he said he would change the whole wiring kit and would deliver the bike on Monday 09/12/13.
On visiting the showroom on Monday the Mr. Rakesh said he is still working on the bike and would deliver it on Tuesday 10/12/13.
On visiting the showroom today, Mr. Rakesh said the bike is still not ready. I demanded to see the bike and went into the garage. Inside the showroom i was shocked to see that there has no work been done on the bike. It was in the same condition when i saw it on Thursday 05/12/13. I asked the Chief mechanic that why has he not worked on my bike since Thursday, when he initially had stripped the bike down, the Chief Mechanic had only one answer – “I still am not able to detect the bike’s fault”.
So I have a few queries.
How can you certify Cheerans as a certified dealer of Yamaha if inexperienced staff has to provide service?
A complete irresponsible team led by Mr.Rakesh where no customer service satisfaction has been provided.
I have been facing these problems since day one even before I get the bike delivered. There was a broken promise of on the delivery date of the bike. Which is evident at the very beginning of my letter. I have also been very unsatisfied with the bike service. At 10,000 kms my clutch cable was broken and I had got it replaced from the showroom for which they had charged me for the parts. On the second day after replacing the cable I could not move the bike as the clutch cable nuts and bolts had not been tightened appropriately.
So I ask you again is this Cheerans actually a certified dealer for Yamaha?
I personally had refrained two of my cousins from buying a R15 and Ray. This is because i did not want them to go through the same dissatisfaction that I am facing. They had purchased a Honda CBR 250 and Honda Dio.
The only reason why people opt to this showroom as Yamaha customers do not have any other option. No other Yamaha showroom is available here in our town. Each time I visit the showroom I would definitely see minimum of two customers who have a problem with the service provided at Cheerans.
If a Yamaha representative would do a personal visit to the showroom he would find a long list of disappointed, unsatisfied and frustrated customers at Cheerans, Chavakkad, Thrichur – The so called certified Yamaha Dealer.
This service is an absolute disgrace to Yamaha.
So if you could please look into this matter of why my bike has not been attended to since a week would be appreciable.
From – A very unsatisfied and frustrated Yamaha FZ owner.

I went for service of my bike on 27.11.2013 and there Mr. Rajan and showroom other staff members [Service Station dealer] was using very offending and abusive language and when i enquired about the products they are using for servicing of bike.

    He replied that:-

    A. They are the only authorized dealers in Delhi for selling and servicing of Yamaha Bikes.

    B. They also said that other showrooms opened in Raja Garden, New Delhi and other service stations they sell fake/ duplicate parts with low quality and no warranty, and also said to me that in other showrooms they replace genuine parts from new bikes with fake parts.

    C. Lastly, they are charging different prices for chain cleaner Lubricant as compared to others.

I have copy of bill with different prices charged by Zoom Roadies as compared to other authorized dealers.

Please confirm, whether Zoom Roadies is the only authorized dealer in New Delhi.

Please, look into the matter at the earliest.

  23. Daniel

Sir/madam, i purchase yamaha szr during november 2011. Till 10 august 2013 it was fine. on 11 august 2013 my bike’s front wheel got punctured, it was the first time. When i opened the tyre i found two punctured marks on the tube, moreover the tube is not a quality one. The puncture was not due to piercing of nail or anyother sharp object, instead it happened because tube got torn. I wont park my bike in sunlight, i always keep my bike in shade. I am the only one to ride my bike. I worried because the tube inside the bike is local made it is not a standard one. I service my bike only at sri motors, where i bought the bike. I suspect that the service people would have changed the good tube with a local made, that too with two punctured marks in it. I just reported the issue to the customer care executive, he told that he needs 6 working days after which the dealer will contact me. What do they expect me to do, should i stop my work and wait for them or should i stop using my bike until i get a good solution from them. Useless people and useless service especially sri motors, jafferkhanpet, chennai

I consult to Dehradun Yamaha service centre , they say piston of this bike is not working properly. it is new bike than how it is possible in travelling 15000 km.

Than I consult to Solan Yamaha service agency they say all Yamaha 150 FZ don’t give good performance in hills. All Yamaha 150 FZ have same problem in hills and all bike loose pressure in climbing hill. and need advance gear. this is condition in single riding.

Before this bike I was using Hero Honda Extreme 150 cc. with this there is no problem in hills.

Purchasing time I was thinking Yamaha 150 FZ is powerful bike. but now I think I was wrong. it is a worst bike in all 150 cc bike. I should purchased pulser or appache .I dead my money with Yamaha. and now I will give suggestion to my friends don’t purchase Yamahas bikes.

Therefore I request you please take it return this bike and return my money.

Please do necessary action regarding this matter.

    Thanking you

    Hi Yamaha INDIA,

    I am using RX 100 1995. #KA05 Q 7090..
When i was working in Mysore, i got it as second hand from my colleague. Now i move to Tamilnadu.
I tried for re-registration in RTO. All original documents i submitted. (like Karnataka RTO NOC, RC book, insurance, Lifetime road tax, Emission certificate, Tamilnadu Police CRB NOC, Commercial tax NOC)
But, as a last document, they are asking invoice for fixing road tax. I missed out invoice.
RTO persons asks us to get bonofide (in letter pad) only ex-showroom price (without accessories) of RX100- 1995 from any yamaha dealer.. But no dealer is ready to give ex-showroom price..
    Please help me out..

Yamaha is producing fz16 and other vehicles with components made out of sub-standard design & quality.
    1. The mileage is very poor in spite of the fact that most of the parts are made out of plastic material, where as a JAWA / YEZDI, a 250cc vehicle which I was using was giving 45 kms / Litre for many years and even a Kinetic Honda which I was using was giving 55kms / Litre with both had a very good pick that even I used to overtake many RX and travels.
    2. The vehicle is not starting using the self starter and it failed within 6 months of usage, in spite of regular service done by the dealer / Service provider Raj Yamaha, Chennai.
    3. The brightness of the headlight is poor on most of the days and bright on some time, and there is no answer from the dealer / Service provider Raj Yamaha, Chennai.
    4. Shifting the gear from one to the other is very hard to the extent that it damages the leg, near the thump.
    5. The vehicle stalls and the engine is switching off while overtaking which is a very dangerous affair to the rider.
    6. The vehicle goes to the neutral position when I shift the gear to lower gear at most of the times and to 1st gear when you want to shift it to the neutral.
    7. Utmost care is needed when using the kick starter as the rider is forced to fold the right side foot rest thus causing danger as the rider has to push back the foot rest to use the brake pedal.
    8. The stand is not withstanding the weight of the vehicle thus deflecting on the self weight of the vehicle causing bend and thus hitting on the ground and there is no answer for this either from India Yamaha motor pvt. Ltd. Or the dealer / Service provider Raj Yamaha, Chennai.
    9. There is no safety for the pillion riders as pillion rider is tend to fall from the vehicle from their backside at any point of time.
    10. Pillion riders are complaining that they are getting back ache while traveling on this vehicle, because the seat is not wider & longer enough for a person to sit apart from placement of the foot rest that is in a place that induces pain and discomfort to the pillion rider.
    11. In spite of pumping air at regular intervals, air pressure is always less in the tyres from day 1.
    12. Yamaha dealers always do a worst service, in-spite charging huge amounts.
    13. This is the only vehicle in India that there is no safety for the riders as no crash guard/Bar is provided.
    14. This is the only vehicle that there is no chain guard which is also unsafe to the riders.
    15. The Ground Clearance/Shock Absorber Action is also poor in this vehicle as the vehicle is hitting the ground whereas even my Kinetic Honda has not hit the ground after I did a small modification.
    16. Also most of the vehicles in India are coming with out mudguard flap and mudguards with enough length (for the purpose of safety, mudguard should be long enough so that it crosses the centre line of the wheels of the vehicle), which is causing dangers like dirt spraying on the other vehicle drivers like projectiles which lead to eye injury, accidents apart from making the clothes dirty.
    17. The handle bar of the vehicle is too soft and will bend even if you drop the vehicle accidentally while you try to park the same using the stand.
    18. The company, India Yamaha motor Pvt. Ltd is not responding to the complaints made and do not want to resolve the issues.
    19. Dealers of India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd, especially dealers like Raj Yamaha, Chennai, do not have any system, accountability towards the customers and their MD, Rajkumar does not have manners at all and his aim is to only make money without doing any service.

As it has become a threat to the Indian community, all the owners of Yamaha vehicles are requested to join hands and file a suit for relief and damages apart from stressing the government to form an active regulatory body (like NABCB which is really doing a wonderful job under Mr.Venkatraman and not the one like TRAI, which has allowed the sale of sim cards of service providers till the date of closure without insisting for withdrawal from the market) so that to make rules, regulations and norms for the mileage as it is the need of the hour, approval & disapproval of vehicles / Each & every component to ensure quality, in terms of cost, road worthiness, mileage, safety and reliability.
I have bought my fz16 on 5th jun2012 and my friend has bought another model and from day 1 we are also experiencing most the above problems. Also those who are affected are requested to fix a board in the vehicle itself narrating the defects/Shortcomings of the vehicle to create awareness among Indian community.
Those who want to join the fight against a substandard product may contact me either through my email ID: ven1959@gmail.Com or +919444153245.

I am shocked with the service, product & performance of Yamaha.. I bought a new FZS on 7th October 2012 from JM Motors Pvt Ltd, A-4, Sec-10, Noida & the bikes self start stopped working after a month & that too after the next day of my bikes first service. Again i went to service station that the self start is not working but no one attended to it & they told me that the bikes battery is problematic. After that it has been more than 15 days neither the Exide battery has been replaced nor any one has listended to my plea.. I am astonished how come a company like Yamaha put a battery in a new bike which even didnot last a month. It has been more than 2 months i have also not received my bikes Insurance paper from the dealer & they are giving excuses since last 2 months. They gave me the bikes RC after 1 & half month & also took a extra Rs 200 against R.T.O late fine, i think this fine was due to the Dealers fault & not the customers, still i had to pay for the late fees. I have been going to the dealer & service center from the day i purchased my bike due to all these problems. I promise this is last Yamaha product which i have bought cause neither the product is good nor the service… Its not “YES YAMAHA”… Its just “NO YAMAHA”…. I think after giving this complaint my bike would be attended . I used my previous 2 bikes of Hero Honda & Bajaj almost for 6 years but had never faced such problems.. Is this what Yamaha boasts all about??? Can i expect any response from Yamaha????

I’m a owner of the Yamaha Fazer 2011 model .My bike is under warranty and the sixth service has yet to be done.. but unfortunately I’m facing a problem with my bike regarding the chain assembly . On contacting one of the authorized Yamaha service center in Bangalore I have been advised to change the chain assembly.. Wherein I don’t find any logical reason to do so because my bike has run only 11,000+ kms and I’m facing the same problem since fourth service.I think its the poor quality material the Yamaha is using as before there was a problem with the digital meter also …please look into the matter as soon as possible before the warranty period gets over.

    Dear Sir,

    I had purchased bike R-15 NO.KA -05-HQ6363 under invoice 6/VS/03217 DT.19.08.2011
    {RECIEPT NO.13515&13012 DT.02.08.11 FOR Rs.117164& Rs.500/-} from Bangalore
    Wheels, Rajajinagar, Bangalore.
I do get it my bike services at M/s PERFECT RIDERS, NO.127 LALBAGH ROAD,
BANGALORE-560027. Which is near to my house ,

I had complained from first service that the front left {INNER COVER} upper parts near wheel paint was damaged and it was assured to replace but in spite of my several request during all services still not replaced And not even alignment is done properly during my free service period.

Now that warranty period is getting over it is sure that these will certainly not
Be replaced nor services because they have valid reason to say it is not in warranty period now.

I have come to you with request kindly do the needful & oblige.

    Thanking you,
    You’re truly,
