The failure of the movement commenced by Arvind Kejriwal and Anna Hazare in August 2012 led to the formation of Aam Aadmi Party. After parting his ways from Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal launched his political party without giving out its name on 2 October 2012. The main bone of contention between Anna Hazare and him was the formation of a political party. Anna never wanted to join the politics and when Arvind Kejriwal proposed the idea of a political outfit, he and his associate Kiran Bedi objected to the idea and parted their ways. In the following months, a large meeting of around 300 founding members was convened at Constitution Club during which Arvind Kejriwal proposed the name of the party. It was accepted unanimously by all members.

Born on 16 August 1968, Arvind Kejriwal is an eminent Indian Social Activist who has worked under the social campaign India Against Corruption. Before foraying into social and political activities, he was an Indian Revenue Service official. Since 2000 he has been working towards strengthening democratic processes across the entire length and breadth of India. He still continues his struggle to ensure transparency and accountability in Indian governance with the help of Right to Information. Dear Mr. Kejriwal
I have followed your activities since the time you joined Anna Hazare. You seem to be an honest comman citizen who would like to see the development of a common man in this country. You do not have in you the qualities of a real politician who says something and dose another thing, as a matter of fact do nothing. I congratulate you on your massive Delhi victory but for the time being you have a state to run without a state-hood you have a car but no gasoline to run it. Please BE very careful and DO NOT betray the trust of your voters.
    Good Luck. Satye Mave Jayete.
