Being Human Foundation
The Being Human Foundation is a registered charitable organisation which focuses on supporting the underprivileged. This organisation was launched by Bollywood actor, Salman Khan. The foundation raises money by selling merchandise including, autographed bracelets, being human t-shirts, paintings and sketches by Salman Khan himself and even the clothes that he has worn in certain movies. A major part of the proceeds is used for charitable work. The foundation focuses on mainly education and health care. There are two initiatives by Being Human NGO, The Being Human Art, which raises funds by selling the Paintings and artwork by Salman Khan and Being Human Merchandise which sells t-shirts, wristbands, key chains, etc. on their website. The foundation has worked with the Marrow Donor Registry India (MDRI) to raise awareness and donors needed for creating a decent registry in India, and is partners with Fortis hospitals to provide free treatment to those who can’t afford it. The Being Human Foundation also Supports NGO’s like Aseema and Akshara and conduct regular free eye camps.
Being Human Foundation has ventured into the jewellery segment from November 2016. It has launched autonomous segment of diamond jewellery in collaboration with Style Quotient Jewellery Pvt. Ltd.
Recently the Being Human Little Hearts Foundation organised the Dishes for Wishes program at the National Orange Show in San Bernardino. It was a food-fest in support of Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, raising funds for medical care of hospitalised children and their families.
