The tickets PNR Status is also made available here lately. The entire online payment process at IRCTC involves telecommunication networking integration and is highly dependent on internet connectivity. Any failure or delay in online payment process may cause transaction failure before completion. Following actions will be taken as per the situation:

Money Debited But Ticket Not Booked

Status in “My Transactions” Cause Action by IRCTC Action by Bank
Payment Settled but Ticket Not Booked •Passenger opted for particular berth at the time of booking and ticket not booked due to choice of Berth not available. •Other reasons such as network failures etc. Amount is credited back on next day to the respective Bank. Bank credits back the amount within 2-3 working days in Account through which booking was done.
Settlement Failed and Ticket Not Booked •System or network failure at Banks end or at PG before remitting Ticket Amount to IRCTC . Amount is not credited to IRCTC Account. Amount is with Bank. Bank will refund the money after due verification.

For PNR Enquiry, dial Indian Railways Enquiry Number, i.e.139. Write PNR in write option of your message box and your 10 Digit PNR Number and send it to 139. You can now cancel your tickets with this number by giving a call.

IRCTC has integrated with Simpli5d Technologies to introduce captchas on its train ticket booking website.  It has proposed for installation of food vending machines with 6-7 menus to the Railway Board. It has recently introduced tour packages for Gatimaan Express passengers to Agra and is planning to organize international trips to US, Europe.

    With due respect I would like to say that I was trying to book air ticket for self and my family member Smt Devyani, Mr Kinjal Kumar, Km Anjasi on 09.06.2015 at 10.15 AM but due to any fault in net only amount Rs 32312.00 was deducted from my credit card account but no booking done for Indigo flight no 6E 633 of 12th June 2015 for Kolkata to Lucknow for 6.20 PM. This was also confirmed from Indigo customer care that ticket was not booked. As per ICICI card statement this (Rs 32312.00 + Tax=Rs 32975.04) amount transaction was already done vide Transaction ID 642360 in ref. number 7476651560522271564119.

    I am approx 69 years aged Heart patient ( recently a pace maker was implanted) I traveled with my wife in a very pathetic condition from HATIA to LTT ( approx 1700 + KM Journey) on 27.02.2015, and in spite of my request in writing for at least one Lower Berth, the Rly Authority initially reserved W.L berth & later confirmed & given in 3-A/C, B-3, 34 ( M.B & 35 ( U.B) I am returning on 09.03.2015 and again till today( 05.03.2015) I got Train no-12811, RAC-7 & 8 ( PNR no- 8232928431, ID- 100000175340007 ) I dont know whether the Railway Authority provide me in Lower or Middle berth or Not?     I have signed up with irctc by registering the registration page. But when mobile number verification process, the verification code was entered, it displayed the code was incorrect and when i repeated the same was displayed.     This is for your kind information that, I did not get any refunds for the TDR, irrespective of 3 of 4 waitlisted passengers.

    I have filed a TDR (Ref: ekt2014016010549961) for Transaction Id. 0824074856 PNR Number. 6126389033 TDR Entry Date 06-Jan-2014. As the tickets were not confirmed except one, but nobody traveled.

    Well, firstly, in this ticket 3 of 4 passengers were waitlisted after the chart preparation. And we all know in eTicket, waitlisted tickets are not valid tickets at all. Travelling with a waitlist ticket (purchased online) is illegal. Earlier I have seen the amount got refunded automatically for fully waitlisted ticket by IRCTC. But then why this time the refunds are not granted even for waitlisted passengers. Instead the waitlisted passengers’ ticket should automatically get refunded irrespective of any time factor. And therefore I would request you to please reconsider the waitlisted passengers and arrange the refund.

    Well, Secondly, for 1 of 4 RAC passenger in this ticket, I have already mentioned the passenger did not travelled because other members were neither confirmed nor RAC. Railways might have some process to verify whether or not the passenger actually travelled in the train as TTE checks that physically in the train. I would request you to please look into the prospects of getting the data verified and process the refund accordingly.

    I would appreciate if you could please look into both the cases separately, and confirm the refund accordingly.

    SIR, I use to travel daily from Faridabad to Delhi through local trains. It seems local trains have become the ideal sight for sticking the posters. You can see number of posters sticking in the trains. It looks very bad and shameful that such people do not want to care anything. Railway is our Indian Property. You must take a strict action against them.
